WARNING. Don't buy the wrong inflator

***BE ADVISED***

Many tire inflators sold on Amazon are only meant for emergency use.  They are NOT MEANT for MULTIPLE USE!  Most of these inflators have plastic pistons that will wear out and this means they will eventually stop working.  I have personal experience with this, in 2017 the "Amazon Best Seller" tire inflator (it still is today) stopped working after the 6th time airing up my tires.

Also, avoid the 12 vdc cigarette lighter options.  Buy tire inflators with alligator clips that connect directly to your vehicles 12v battery.  Many people end up damaging their 12v electrical sockets.  Some of these sockets are protected by a fuse, but other's are not (For example, in Subaru's, the rear cargo area 12v socket does not have a fuse.  The assembly to replace the part is over $300.
